A Missing Influence

I suppose some of my readers were wondering why a verse I gave last week would say that there are none that seek after God, when there is. This is because it is without the Holy Spirit’s influence that the Bible is referring to here. Without the drawing influence of the Holy Spirit, none will seek after God in this manner. Many will seek Him in a human manner though, and do good in this manner, and it will not be acceptable to Him.

And I’ll say, “So what’s that?” And They’ll say, “That God exists outside our time, space, matter universe.” And I’ll ask again, “So what’s that?” And they’ll say, “I don’t know.” Lol. And I’ll say, “The reason you don’t know, is because you don’t know what ‘time’ is?” Time is the measurement of movement. Your view puts God in a frozen pose. God’s time is unending, not timeless.

A Divine Work

How was the atonement of Christ applied to believers? It is because of substitution that justification occurs by faith. Since saving faith and justification are blood bought accomplishments of the cross to take care of unbelief and unrighteousness (by imputation, not infusion); the “application” of this substitutionary work occurs at conversion. In eternity it was planned, at Calvary it was accomplished, and at conversion it was applied.
